Official: Saudi Arabia Rejoins Iran Exports Market

TEHRAN – Iran Customs Administration’s spokesman Roohollah Latifi said on Sunday that Saudi Arabia has rejoined Iran exports market, adding that over 47 million tons of goods worth $22.588 billion have been traded with 15 neighbors during the first half of the current Iranian calendar year (starting on March 21).
Latifi said that the figure experienced a 52-percent growth in value and a 37-percent rise in weight, compared with the same period last year.
He added that some 59,996,000 tons of products worth $21,805,611,569 were exported to the world, 36,087,373 tons of which worth $11,218,138,119 belonged to those which have common borders with Iran.
He went on to say that Iran exports to neighboring states grew 33% in weight and 41% in value.
Iraq with $3.840 billion, Turkey with $2.308 billion, the UAE with $2.243 billion, Afghanistan with $999 million, and Pakistan with $544 million are Iran’s exports destinations.
