‘Branded’ Shines at Turkish Festival
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short flick ‘Branded’ has grabbed an award at the 4th edition of the Siirt International Short Film Festival in Turkey.
Directed by Fatemeh Mohammadi, the short film won the “Ibrahim Hakki” award at the Turkish event.
‘Branded’ tells the story of Hafiz, a man who crosses the border to Afghanistan in order to help save the life of a woman and her little daughter.
The main actors of the film are Atefeh Amini, Mojtaba Bitarafan, and Zeinab Jafari.
The short film has so far participated in several international festivals, including the Girona Film Festival in Spain, the Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival in Indonesia, the Short Shorts Film Festival in Japan, and the Festival of Nations in Austria.
The Siirt Film Festival hosts films from around the world to present various cultures to the audience.
The 2021 edition of the festival was held on October 4-8.
