President Raisi Calls For Boosting Tehran-Minsk Economic Relations
TEHRAN – Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi has called for the promotion of trade and economic ties with Belarus, saying Iranian companies can provide Minsk with engineering and technical expertise.
In a meeting with the new ambassador of Belarus to Tehran on Sunday, President Raisi said the Iranian private sector is prepared to share its experiences in the provision of technical and engineering services with Belarusians.
He also noted that preparing the ground for cooperation between the private sectors and business companies of Iran and Belarus would held expand the economic and trade relations between the two countries.
For his part, Belarusian envoy Dmitry Koltsov hailed his country’s friendly and age-old relations with Iran after submitting his credentials to the president.
The ambassador said his main mission in Tehran is to enhance the bilateral relations.
Belarus has been and will always remain a friend of Iran, he said, expressing the East European country’s readiness to increase the trade exchanges with Iran and pave the way for the presence and investment of Iranian companies.
