TEHRAN – Defending champion Iran won their third straight
victory at the 21st Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship and qualified for top eight.
On Tuesday, Team Melli beat Pakistan in straight sets (25-20, 25-19, 25-20) at the Chiba Port Arena.
The three-time titlists inked their way into to top eight teams after following the Preliminary Round of the competition.
Saber Kazemi score a match-high 17 points with captain Milad Ebadipour adding 14 more markers for Iran’s victory.
Iran have been drawn in Pool F along with South Korea, Chinese Taipei and Pakistan.
