‘Winter Memories’ On Way to Brazilian Animation Festival
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian animation ‘Winter Memories’ has been competing at the 2nd edition of the Animatiba- Curitiba International Animation Festival in Brazil.
Co-directed by Zahra Kababian and Amir-Mehdi Safdari, the animation is an anti-war project that depicts an old woman waiting by the window.
Although the woman suffers from Alzheimer disease, she constantly lives in a memory of the past.
She sees herself in childhood on the day when her father left home to join the army and never came back. Now she wishes he was alive and back home.
The flick has already taken part in a number of global events, including the Nostalgia International Film Festival in Italy and the International festival of animated film “Constantine’s Gold Coin” in Serbia.
According to the official website of the Brazilian festival, the event is on the mission “to reunite animation’s artists, researchers and fans at this event that reframes the past, glimpses the future and animates the present!”
The current edition of the event is underway and will continue until September 15.
