TEHRAN – Iranian chess players ranked second in the Asian Women’s Online Chess Championship 2021.
Iranian chess players Safoora Ghane and Tannaz Azali received two silver and bronze medals and the Iranian team stood on the second place.
The event was held with 41 students from 12 countries.
India with 25.5 points ranked first, Iran with 25 points stood on the second place, and Malaysia with 21 points ranked third.
Iranian team had earlier ranked first in the first round of competitions.
The men’s category of the event will be hosted by Indonesia on September 9.
