Iranian powerlifter Hamed Solhipour won a silver medal in the men’s -97kg at the Games.
The silver came after he successfully lifted 222kg on Sunday.
Panpan Yan of China won the gold medal with 227kg while Colombia’s Fabio Torresbronze received the bronze medal with 221kg. The silver was Iran’s third medal in powerlifting. Rostami in -80kg has already won a gold medal while Amir Jafari gained a silver in -65kg. Earlier, Rouhollah Rostami won Iran’s first gold in powerlifting in the 2020 Paralympic Games. Vahid Nouri and Muhammad Reza Kheirollahzaheh have also won two gold medals in judo.
