TEHRAN – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh on Monday highlighted the futility of U.S. maximum pressure on Iran, reminding the White House officials that using former president Donald Trump’s policy will not produce any result other than the same failures of recent years.
The U.S. needs to change its mentality and consider the realities on the ground, he said, the Americans should know that Iran would not accept anything less than the JCPOA. Khatibzadeh said Iran will cease taking its remedial measures as soon as a solution is achieved for the return of the U.S. to its commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal.
