Ministry: Palestinian Dies of Zionist Gunfire

BEITA (Dispatches) – A Palestinian shot by Zionist troops in the occupied West Bank died of his wounds on Friday, the Palestinian health ministry said.
Imad Ali Mohammad Dweikat, 38, reached hospital in the city of Nablus “in a critical state” after receiving “a live bullet to the chest” in the nearby town of Beita, it said in a statement.
Beita sees regular demonstrations against the Zionist regime’s occupation and settlement expansion, which often degenerate into clashes.
Meanwhile, Zionist troops demolished several Palestinian houses and agricultural premises in the occupied West Bank on Thursday, in a move condemned as an “ethnic cleansing operation”.
The occupying regime’s bulldozers razed two residential buildings belonging to the Jaradat family in Sair, a town near Al-Khalil city. At the same time, Zionist troops used batons and shot tear gas and rubber-coated bullets to disperse Palestinians who protested the demolition.
A Palestinian was hit by a bullet in the abdomen, and several suffered from suffocation caused by tear gas, the Palestinian Wafa news agency reported.
Several Zionist military vehicles and four bulldozers arrived at the Wadi al-Sharq area in Sair on Thursday morning. They started a nearly four-hour leveling operation of two residential buildings.
Each building has three flats of 200 square meters.
In eastern Ramallah, Zionist troops also destroyed housing tents and animal sheds and confiscated agricultural equipment from the Palestinian Bedouin community of the Kaabneh clan in the al-Muargat area.
Ghaleb al-Kaabneh told MEE that Zionist troops arrived at the area at 11am local time, and destroyed a tent and a house made of tin, belonging to Odeh Mahmoud al-Kaabneh and Mohammed Suliman al-Kaabneh.
He said the Zionist regime had launched a demolition campaign against dwellings belonging to Palestinian Bedouins in Area C in June and had uprooted an entire community of four families.
He also said a senior employee in the so-called Civil Administration, a regime department within the war ministry running the West Bank, had told him that the area will be “purged” of Palestinian Bedouins in the upcoming months.
Zionist report and settlers violated the rights of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Al-Quds over 3,800 times in July alone.
The media office of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas in the West Bank said in a report issued on Wednesday that 3,886 violations were recorded in July, including seven killings.
In the periodic report, the office said 2,140 Palestinians were injured in 206 shooting incidents by Zionist troops and 62 assaults by settlers.
According to the report, the number of injured increased by nearly 48 percent compared to June, when 1,449 cases of injury were recorded.
