Iran Enters New & Invigorating Phase

By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer

Yesterday’s official investiture of the president-elect by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution starts a new phase for Iran for the next four years with fresh faces to appear in the cabinet, brimming with invigorating ideas to ensure the country’s continued progress both at home and abroad despite the feverish plots of its sworn enemies, especially the US and the illegal Zionist entity.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in his decree, pointed out: “Today, our dear country is thirsty for valuable service and is ready to make a leap in all areas. The country needs competent, jihadi, intelligent, courageous management that can organize the manifest and hidden capabilities of the nation — in particular those of the youth, which are much greater in scope than the problems.”
Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi was confident of bringing dynamic changes to the Executive Branch in response to the nation’s demand for end of economic woes, establishment of social justice, and preventive measures against the Coronavirus pandemic, in order to restore the Islamic Republic’s power and prestige for defeating American terrorism in the economic, political, cultural, and medical fields.
He said: “We will certainly be after lifting the cruel sanctions, but we will certainly not make the people’s livelihoods and the economy conditioned, and won’t tie it to the will of foreigners.”
These words by Raisi, who will take formal charge of the presidency at his swearing-in-ceremony at the parliament on Thursday in the presence of high ranking Iranian officials and representatives from at least 73 countries, speaks volumes of his determination to thwart the domineering designs of Washington.
He is expected to introduce to the parliament a competent team of ministers dedicated to serving the people, the interests of the country, and the goals of the Islamic Revolution.
The prime goals of the new administration are, without doubt, remedying the problems being inherited from the previous administration by taking concrete measures to improve the ailing economy, slash the runaway inflation, and increase national health and immunity against Covid-19 and its variants.
Thanks to the triumph of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Iran is a powerful independent country which threw off the American yoke, and has the model system of administration based on Islam and its dynamic values that attract the people of the region towards it, in spite of the poisonous propaganda of the West to tarnish its image.
It means that on no account should the Islamic Republic allow the US to poke its dirty nose in Iranian affairs, whether concerning the inalienable right to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purpose (even if it requires enriching uranium to 60 percent purity), the upgrading of defence technology (including precision drones and ballistic missiles), and the presence of its advisors in neighbouring countries on their invitation to thwart terrorism and ensure their independence.
Hopefully, President Raisi will be people’s president in the real sense of the term by resolving the problems of the nation in all fields, as well as shielding it from the devilish designs of the West through one-sided agreements it has imposed upon us.
