Islamic Jihad Issues Stern Warning to Zionist Regime

GAZA STRIP (Dispatches) – The Palestinian resistance movement of Islamic Jihad has issued a strong warning against the Zionist regime amid its continued harassment of Palestinians in the holy occupied city of al-Quds’ Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
“Operation Sword of Al-Quds is not the last battle against the occupying Zionist regime,” Khaled al-Batsh, member of the group’s political office, said on Sunday.
The operation saw the resistance firing more than 4,000 retaliatory rockets against the occupied territories, forcing the regime to desperately call for a ceasefire after just 11 days.
The operation also sought to exact revenge on the Zionist regime over its weeks-long harassment of Sheikh Jarrah’s Palestinian residents, whom it had served with eviction orders.
Al-Batsh said, “As long as the Zionist regime keeps usurping our lands, we keep up our ceaseless struggle, because we are the owners of this territory and do not give up even a handspan of it.”
The remarks came as Sheikh Jarrah has been playing an unwelcome host to fresh escalatory attempts by the regime’s troops for the several past weeks.
The Palestinian Minister for Al-Quds Affairs, Fadi Al-Hadmi, on Sunday called on the international community to “immediately intervene” in the Sheikh Jarrah case which sees Palestinians being forcibly evicted from their homes to make way for illegal settlers.
Al-Hadmi warned in a statement that the Zionist regime describes the case as a “real estate dispute”, noting what is happening in Sheikh Jarrah is a “political issue par excellence”.
“Tomorrow (Monday), the Israeli court will begin to reconsider giving the Israeli Central Court the green light to evict the families of Al-Kurd, Al-Qassem, Al-Jaouni and Skafi, after it postponed the decision on evicting the families of: Al-Dajani, Hammad, and Al-Dahoudi, a few days ago” Al-Hadmi said.
A Palestinian Authority official says the occupying regime is plotting to confiscate more Palestinian land to expand settlements in the occupied Al-Quds, as the Zionist regime presses ahead with its land grab policies in the occupied territories.
Abdullah Seyam, the Authority’s Deputy Governor of Al-Quds said that the regime’s projects in Al-Quds were part of a systematic plan to change the demography of the holy city and to Judaize it even more, Palestine’s official WAFA news agency reported.
