Iranian Film Takes Part at Italy’s Religion Today

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short film ‘Before Darkness’ has made its way to the Religion Today Film Festival in Italy.
The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported on Tuesday that ‘Before Darkness’ will participate at the 24th edition of the Italian event.
Written and directed by Mosayyeb Hanaee, the film is based on a true story.
It is about a woman who has crossed into Iran along with other Afghans as they want to illegally travel to Turkey.
The woman, who is accompanied by her child, can’t take her child with her as she can’t afford the smuggling fees.
The film’s cast includes Shahbanou Mohammadi, Iraj Tadayyon, Reza Ahmadi, and Narges Hezareh.
‘Before Darkness’ was awarded at the 35th Tehran International Short Film Festival in Iran.
The 24th edition of the Religion Today Film Festival will take place on September 22-29.
