Award-Winning ‘Paper God’ Goes to San Francisco
TEHRAN (IFILM) --- Iranian short flick ‘Paper God’ has been selected to compete at the San Francisco Frozen Film Festival (SFFFF2021) in the U.S.
Directed by Danial Mahmoudnia, the 10-minute film will be screened at the Dramatic Shorts section of the 15th edition of the U.S. event.
The flick is about Ali who is disabled and wants to get to the top of a cliff where all the other kids gather to play and throw paper planes. Despite being in a wheelchair, he wants to take his chance to soar.
‘Paper God’ has been the winner of the best audience choice award at the Hilltop Film Festival in the U.S. state of Alabama.
It has also gone on screen at some other global events, including the KIDS First! Film Festival in the U.S., the MENA - Middle East & North Africa Film Festival in Canada, and the Alicante International Film Festival in Spain.
Ali Khani, Rajou Taqavinejad, and Hossein Aqa-Mozaffari are on the cast list of the short flick.
The SFFFF2021, dedicated to creating avenues for independent filmmakers, promotes inspiration and provides public avenues for filmmakers to show their art and tell their stories.
The 2021 edition of the event will be held on July 14-18.
