TEHRAN – Head of Gilan Province Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Farhad Dalghpoush said that totally 241,599 tons of non-oil products, valued at $146,294,329, were exported from Gilan province to foreign countries from March 21 to June 21, showing a three percent decline in terms of volume as compared to the same period of last year.
Export of products from northern province of Gilan in the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year (from March 21 to June 21) registered a 24 percent growth as compared to the same period of last year.
Accordingly, more than $146 million worth of non-oil products was exported from Gilan province in the first three months of the current year, indicating a 24 percent hike as compared to the last year’s corresponding period.
Dalghpoush said vegetable and mineral products, chemical and plastic materials and food products were of the main products exported from Gilan province to foreign countries in this period, he said, adding that these products were exported from Gilan province’s customs offices to the countries including Russia, Azerbaijan Republic, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Turkmenistan and Belarus.

Bileh Savar Border Crossing Exports Rise 227%

On Sunday, the Director General of Bileh Savar Customs office Ramin Zahiri said more than 67,000 tons of goods were exported through the Bileh Sovar border terminal of the northwestern Ardabil province during the first quarter of the current fiscal year (March 21-June 21), registering a 227% growth year-on-year.
He added the goods included agricultural products - mainly potatoes-, tiles and ceramics, glass, salt, construction stones, pistachio, dates, plastic and metal products, particle boards and polyethylene.
Zahiri said that some 67,000 tons of goods worth $84  million were exported from the Bileh Savar checkpoint in the first three months of the current fiscal year.
A total of 67,000 tons of commodities worth $84 million were exported from the Bileh Savar border crossing during the time, marking an upsurge of 113% and 227% in tonnage and value respectively compared with the year before, according to the  Director General of Bileh Savar Customs Office.
The official said $2.5 million worth of products were imported through this northwestern border crossing.
Bileh Savar is a town in Ardabil province which borders the Republic of Azerbaijan.
