IME Weekly Trade Hits $412mn

TEHRAN - Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over $412mn of various commodities weighting over 1,012,000 tons were traded in its domestic trading and exports halls in the past working week.
The report said that 665,862 tons of metal and mineral products, including 203,700 tonnes of steel, 9,985 tonnes of copper, 10,940 tonnes of aluminum, 27 tonnes of precious metals concentrate, 250 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 550 tonnes of zinc, 389,560 tonnes of cement, 5 kg of gold bars, 11,000 tonnes of sponge iron and 40,000 tonnes of iron ore with value of $233mn were traded in the IME domestic and exports halls in the last week.
Also within this week, the IME said that over 345,056 tons of various oil and petrochemical products, including 92,150 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 91,530 tonnes of bitumen, 94,801 tonnes of polymeric products, 36,934 tonnes of chemicals, 27,000 tonnes of lube cut, 3,577 tonnes of base oil, 110 tonnes of argon, 120 tonnes of sulfur and 205 tonnes of insulation with the total value of $180mn were traded in its domestic and exports halls during the last week.
Furthermore, the IME saw trade of 345,056 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than 180 million USD on its oil and petrochemical trading floor.
It’s worth noting that the exchange also played host to trading 906 tonnes of various types of commodities on its side market.
