TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short flick ‘False Ceiling’ has been selected to compete at the 35th edition of the Fribourg International Film Festival (FIFF) in Switzerland.
Directed by Mohsen Najafi-Mehri, the short film narrates the story of a young couple who are experiencing an unexpected crisis.
‘False Ceiling’ will compete with 15 short films at the Swiss festival.
The cast list of the film includes Mohammad-Reza Ghaffari, Sogol Khaliq, Alireza Ostadi, Babak Behshad, Mohsen Sadeqi, Fatemeh Darbari and Mojtaba Espidani.
Khaliq, the main actress of the short film, has previously garnered the Best Actress Award at the Brazil Independent Film Festival.
Founded in 1987, the FIFF presents feature and short films from Africa, Asia, Latin America or Eastern Europe to the audience.
The 35th edition of the festival will be held on July 16-25, 2021.
