Persepolis Claim Fourth Successive Iran Super Cup Title

TEHRAN – Iran’s Persepolis football team on Sunday edged past Tractor 1-0 to win Iran’s Super Cup for the fourth time in a row.
Issa Alekasir scored the solitary goal of the match in the 61st minute in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Tractor midfielder Mehdi Tikdari received a red card in the 78th for a violent conduct on Persepolis player Saeid Aghaei.
It was Persepolis’ fourth title in a row in Super Cup.
The Super Cup is an Iranian association football trophy awarded to the winner of a match between the Persian Gulf Pro League’s season champion and the winner of the Hazfi Cup.
