Coronavirus Short Story Contest Extends Deadline
TEHRAN (IBNA)-- Iran’s Book and Literature House Institute extended the deadline for submitting works to an international fiction festival for Persian language authors titled the Story of Corona and Us to June 18.
The festival has a special section for health workers scheduled for summer had announced the earlier deadline would be June 10. All Persian language authors regardless of their nationality or place of residence may participate in the contest by sending a short story limited to at most 5000 words, public relations office of Iran’s Book and Literature House Institute reported.
The submitted works should not have participated in any earlier contests or public events. The new deadline for submitting the short stories is June 18. For more information visit: corona.naghdedastan.ir.
The stories in the special section of health workers in medical centers including short stories and diaries written by health workers such as doctors nurses and others will be judged separately and the best will be selected and introduced.
A jury panel consisted of authors and literary critics will pick the winner from among shortlisted ten short stories. Moreover, two other short stories will be selected as the second and third best works.
The special section of health workers will honor five authors as well. Winners will receive plaques of honor and cash prizes. Iran’s Book and Literature House Institute will collect and publish the selected stories in a volume.
