Zionist Troops Assault Palestinian Workers

West Bank (Dispatches) – The Zionist regime’s troops on Sunday brutally assaulted three Palestinian workers in the occupied West Bank, according to a Palestinian medical source, reports Anadolu Agency.
“The workers suffered bruises in the head and face,” the source told Anadolu Agency.
According to the official Wafa news agency, the troops assaulted the workers after they attempted to cross the separation wall near Barta’a village, north of Jenin city, on their way to their workplace.
Palestinian workers usually seek to reach their workplaces via holes in the wall to avoid crowdedness and long-time waiting at the occupying regime’s military checkpoints.
A day earlier, a 28-year-old Palestinian woman, identified as Ebtesam Khaled Kaabneh, was shot dead by a Zionist guard at the Qalandiya checkpoint in the West Bank.
The woman, a resident of the Palestinian refugee camp Aqabat Jaber near the city of Ariha, approached the cars crossing at the checkpoint manned by the Zionist regime’s troops and guards, and allegedly ran toward them holding a knife in her hand, according to the police.
The woman was then left bleeding helplessly on the ground and Zionist troops blocked access to medics, a report said, adding that she succumbed to her serious wounds shortly afterward at the scene.
Zionist troops “shot her at the checkpoint, and she died of her wounds after she was left lying on the ground,” her brother, Mohammed, told Wafa.
On Friday, a Palestinian teenager was shot dead during clashes with Zionist troops in the northern parts of the West Bank.
The occupying regime’s troops have on numerous occasions been caught on camera brutally killing Palestinians, with the videos going viral and sparking international condemnation.
The regime has been criticized for its extensive use of lethal force and extrajudicial killing of Palestinians who do not pose an immediate threat to its troops or to settlers.
The Islamic Jihad Movement also warned the Zionist regime against fanning the flames of tensions after the occupying troops killed a young Palestinian woman at a checkpoint outside the occupied East al-Quds on Saturday.
“This crime underscores the need for unity among all strata of the Palestinian nation and its forces to confront the Zionist enemy, which shows no mercy to men, women and the elderly,” it said in a statement on Saturday evening.
“It obliges all Palestinians to engage with occupiers by any means, especially in the checkpoints of death, which have mushroomed across the West Bank and al-Quds,” the statement added.
The movement said, “The occupying Zionist forces continue to commit the most heinous crimes against our people in the West Bank and the occupied al-Quds, ignore the rights of Palestinian people, and execute young people, women, children and the elderly in cold blood.”
Silence on the recent crime is “a disgrace to institutions, countries and organizations that claim to be advocates of human rights, freedom and justice. This silence is a cover-up for terrorism and emboldens the occupying regime to kill Palestinians,” it said.
“The blood of these martyrs will fan the flames of tensions, and will make us more determined to continue the path of resistance until our lands are fully liberated,” the statement said.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said the new bloodshed is part of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s desperate efforts to stay in office.
