TEHRAN – The Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) has signed a contract to commercialize water treatment technical knowhow with Aban Accelerator Company, the RIPI director Jafar Tawfiqi said on Saturday.
On the sidelines of the signing ceremony of the contract, Tawfiqi said: “Fortunately, a suitable center has been considered for the missions of this complex.”
He added: “Since the beginning of the 2010s, issues related to science and technology parks, growth centers and considerations related to entrepreneurship have started off in the country, which have been fully supported by officials, and this issue has become a growing and rapid movement in the country.”
The head of the Petroleum Industry Research Institute also pointed to the results of the performance of these centers, and noted: “The presence and maximum activity of knowledge-based companies, start-ups and technology units in the country, has created a lot of value added and this issue has caused transformed the country’s economy, science and technology and universities’ relations with industries.”
