Late Actor Ansarian Crowned Best at Bulgarian Event
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- The V.i.Z. Film Fest in Bulgaria has awarded Iranian movie ‘Kulbarf’.
Directed by Milad Mansouri, the movie received two awards at the May 2021 edition of the Bulgarian event.
The late Ali Ansarian, Iranian ex-footballer and actor, won the award for Best Feature Film Actor and Mehdi Rezaee grabbed the award for Best Feature Film Cinematography.
Despite the general belief that ‘Romanticism of Emad and Touba’ directed by Mehdi Sabbaghzadeh was Ansarian’s last film, ‘Kulbarf’ was filmed far from media spotlight over a year ago.
Ansarian’s voice was supposed to be recorded for one of the scenes, but it was not possible after his unexpected death. Therefore, the screenplay is slightly changed and the voice of another actor replaced his.
The late Ansarian passed away of COVID-19 on February 3 at the age of 43. His film ‘Romanticism of Emad and Touba’ was premiered at the 39th Fajr Film Festival after he left us.
