Chinese Authur Donates Book Award Prize Money
TEHRAN (IBNA)-- Li Ling, a Chinese scholar and winner of the 28th Iran’s Book of the Year World Award donated his prize money to be spent on buying a ventilator for a hospital in Tehran suburbs.
The measure was taken at a webinar which was attended by Mr. Ling and CEO of Iran’s Book and Literature House Institute Ayyoub Dehghankar as well as a number of other Iranian cultural, diplomatic and health officials.
In this event, a ventilator which has been bought by the $10000 prize money was installed at a hospital in Baharestan town in the suburbs of Tehran which receives many COVID-19 patients every day.
Li Ling won the 28th Iran’s Book of the Year World Award in the category of Iranian studies for his book ‘Reading Persia I-II’ published by Sanlian Publishing House in 2019. Obviously, the event was held online due to the coronavirus pandemic on February 20.
