‘For the Sake of Calmness’ Goes to German Festival

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short film ‘For the Sake of Calmness’ is selected to vie at the Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg (Hamburg Short Film Festival) in Germany.
Directed by Niyousha Tavakkolian, the film will be on screen at the International Competition section of the German event’s 37th edition.
The story of ‘For the Sake of Calmness’ does not agree with its title as some scenes of the film will frighten the audience to their bone as it brings the most intimate emotions of a man to surface.
The film’s narrator says they are residing in a flat inside a building that is supposed to soon have lots of other residents. As the time proceeds, they find out that they will be the first and only people who will live there.
Established in 1986, the Hamburg Film Festival in Germany is among the most important film events in Europe. It accepts to screen about 400 films yearly.
This year’s edition of the festival will be held on June 1-7.
