Media: Palestinian Resistance Rejects ‘Money for Ceasefire’ Proposal

GAZA STRIP (Dispatches) – Palestinian resistance groups have rejected an offer by the Zionist regime to endorse a ceasefire agreement in return for huge financial aid funded by a Persian Gulf Arab littoral state, a leading Arab media outlet reported on Tuesday.
The Arabic-language al-Rai al-Youm newspaper quoted certain Arab sources as saying that the Zionist regime has offered through mediation to the Palestinian resistance that after the regime’s last attack on the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian resistance movements avoid response to establish truce.
It added that the Zionist regime has also said that if the Palestinian resistance accepts the proposal, the occupying regime will also agree with supplying large sums of money and economic aid to the Palestinians by an Arab country in the Persian Gulf, but the Palestinian resistance has turned down the offer, insisting on its conditions declared earlier.
According to the report, the Palestinian resistance movements continue to insist on the evacuation the Zionist regime’s police and military forces from the Al-Aqsa Mosque, assurances for the freedom of Muslim worshiping and prayer in the Al-Aqsa Mosque without any restrictions and end of crimes against the residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. The Zionist regime has not yet accepted the conditions.
Earlier, a U.S. special envoy also offered a proposal to reduce tensions as a first step in the ceasefire, and called for a halt to the resistance forces’ retaliatory rocket attacks on Tel Aviv in exchange for a halt to the bombing of the Gaza Strip’s towers, but the Palestinian sources said that the resistance has rejected the proposal too.
