ROME (Reuters) - Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be ruled out of the Euro 2020 due to a knee injury, head coach of Sweden Janne Andersson confirmed.
The AC Milan hitman injured his knee in the Serie A fixture against Juventus last week, the initial diagnosis suggested the 39-year-old needed a three-week recovery time, but according to the latest statement from the Rossoneri, the Swede will take a conservative treatment lasting for six weeks despite surgery unnecessary.
The Euro 2020 is slated to kick off on June 11, Sweden will take on Spain in the opening match.
