U.S.-Backed Militants Kill Civilians in Syria
BEIRUT (Dispatches) -- Syrian activists said Monday that U.S.-backed militants have killed nine civilians, including six children, who were trying to flee the last area controlled by Daesh in eastern Syria.
It was not immediately clear if the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces was behind the shooting that killed the three women and six children in the eastern province of Dayr al-Zawr. The so-calld Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the incident occurred Saturday night, adding that the gunfire came from SDF positions.
