End of Disastrous 2017, Start of Unpredictable 2018

Today marks the start of the year 2018 of the Christian Gregorian calendar that was ushered in at midnight in the West and in societies influenced by western culture with wild revelries as revelers committed the oldest sins in the newest ways, as if the goal of life is sadism and pleasures of the flesh, without the least thought for the sufferings of fellow humans.
An adage says "the object of a New Year is to have a new soul, and to prepare for the present requires proper pondering on incidents of the year gone by.”
Wonder, how many of the so-called statesmen in the West, especially of the supposedly big powers, have the soul and the mind to reflect on their strategic blunders of the past year that have worsened the misery mankind!
Donald Trump, the scoundrel in the White House who had started the year with gross violation of the 7-nation nuclear pact regarding Iran’s peaceful use of nuclear energy as well as upping the ante against North Korea with threats to wipe out that country from the world map for Pyongyang’s upgrading of its nuclear deterrents as counter measures against Washington’s devilish designs, ended 2017 by roguishly declaring the occupied Islamic city of Bayt al-Moqaddas as capital of the illegal Zionist entity.
As a result, the oppressed people of Palestine are once again being mercilessly targeted by Israel, with blood flowing in the land where Jesus and other Prophets had preached the message of peace.
In between, as the US-supplied Saudi aircraft and bombs continued to pound into dust the people and infrastructure of Yemen, with famine and epidemic staring them in the face, the thuggish Trump held a sword dance with the Wahhabi clique in Riyadh and inked agreements to sell hundreds of billions of dollars of more lethal weapons.
True, the year 2017 had its share of sweet and bitter memories, but even the sweet endings, such as cleansing Syria and Iraq of the presence of the dastardly Takfiri terrorists, required not just sweating on the battlefields by patriotic forces, but blood and sacrifice to reclaim one’s own lands from the vandalistic killers propped up by the soulless trio of the US, Saudi Arabia and the illegal Zionist entity.
The year that went by did not bring any relief to Rohingya Muslims who continue to be persecuted, tortured, killed, and expelled from their homes and hearths by a genocidal regime in Myanmar run by a brutal lady, who was ironically awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and continues to be feted by the hypocrites in the West.
In just two months – August and September – more than 600,000 Rohingya Muslims, including over 340,000 of them children, were driven towards the borders of Bangladesh as refugees.
In Afghanistan, violence continued unabated throughout the year, with around 10,000 civilian casualties, mostly the result of the increased presence of American occupation troops, the Taliban attacks and the cowardly bomb blasts triggered by the Daesh terrorists, recently transported by the US from Syria and Iraq.
The dastardly Daesh mainly targeted mosques and cultural centres of Shi’a Muslims in Kabul and other cities,
Last but not the least 2017 will be remembered for the death of around a hundred journalists covering the conflicts, mostly triggered by the US in various countries. The country where most journalists were killed was Mexico, followed by Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. Iranian media personnel also attained martyrdom in Syria and Afghanistan.
With such a horrible ending, it is anybody’s guess how 2018 will turn out for the world, given the satanic nature of Trump.
If somehow, he exits from the American scene, it will be a blessing for the world, provided another devil does not replace him. Surely, he and the sinful society this maniac is creating, cannot escape divine wrath, as is evident by God Almighty’s words to the Virgin-born Messiah, who was sent to the "lost sheep of Israel” that betrayed Jesus and continues its crimes against humanity.

The West is totally alienated from the true message of the Son of Mary. The goal of the message of the Prophets is to ensure peace, prosperity and justice in the transient life of this world, and guarantee salvation in afterlife. That is the reason, through them God gave laws to the human societies, so that they will not follow the whims and deception of Satan to coin absurd laws of their own, as is the case with the secular societies and the weird system of liberal democracy, which is actually rebellion against God and violation of the teachings of Jesus.
