19th IIFUT Opens in Tehran
TEHRAN (Tehran.ir) - The 19th International Iranian Festival of University Theater has opened in Tehran’s theater halls.
Some stage performances, reading performances and workshops will be hosted by the City Theater Complex, Iranian Artists Forum, Molavi Hall, and other centers.
Comparing to the previous festivals, the 19th call of IIFUT is mainly differed by emphasizing on the "Theater Training Process" and "Interdisciplinary Approach".
The opening ceremony was attended by the artistic director of the poster category, Hamid Jebelli, and Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology in cultural affairs Fazlollah Iraji.
The IIFUT has been initiated in 1997. The focus of the festival is mainly on universities' theater and improving it as well as promoting the theater students' knowledge.
