Iran Disabled Female Air Pistol Team Grabs World Championship
TEHRAN (IRNA) – Female Iranian disabled air pistol shooters team hit the world record in ten meter contest and grabbed world championship, it was announced on Monday.
The disabled Iranian athletes comprising Sareh Javanmardi, Aliyeh Mahmoudi, Samira Eram, Masoumeh Khodabakhshi, Kobra Rezaei and Mehdi Zamani scored 1107 points in the tournament leading to championship of the Iranian team.
Ukraine with 1100 points and Russia with 1053 points ranked second and third respectively.
Some 40 air pistol shooters from various countries round the globe took part in the tournament.
Some 272 shooters from 47 countries took part in the world championship in Croatia and the top qualifier can reserve direct tickets for Paralympic Games in Rio.
