Israel Wounds Gaza Woman in Gaza, Kidnaps Six in West Bank, Shells Lebanon
OCCUPIED AL-QUDS (Dispatches) -- Israeli forces shot and wounded a Palestinian woman in southern Gaza, injured a young man and detained several Palestinians across the occupied West Bank, and carried out demolitions and artillery shelling across southern Lebanon on Sunday.
In Gaza, medical sources told the Palestinian news agency Wafa that a woman was shot in the back during Israeli gunfire at the Qatar camp in Hamad City, north of Khan Younis, on Sunday morning.
Israeli forces simultaneously opened heavy fire toward tents sheltering displaced families in the eastern and southern areas of Khan Younis. The reported attack occurred despite a ceasefire in effect since Oct. 11, 2025.
Wafa reported that Israeli violations have killed 1,610 and wounded 5,819 since the truce took hold.
Separate local reporting recorded additional Israeli violations on Sunday, including a drone strike targeting the Bir al-Naja area west of Jabalia refugee camp that caused injuries, and intensive tank fire toward displaced persons’ tents in the Shakoush area of al-Mawasi in Rafah and Khan Younis.
In the West Bank, Israeli forces stormed Qalqiliya from its eastern entrance on Sunday, deployed in the Kafr Saba neighborhood and opened live fire at young Palestinians, wounding one in the foot, according to Wafa and the Qatar News Agency.
Soldiers fired sound grenades near the Al-Khilafa Mosque, raided a residential building and detained a young man before later releasing him. In Jenin governorate, forces arrested four Palestinians, including two siblings, after raiding their home.
In Nablus governorate, two men — Muhammad Ramadan Abu Mustafa and Osama Mahmoud Saleh al-Qanni — were detained from the village of Kafr Qalil after troops raided and searched homes before dawn.
Israeli forces later raided Nablus city, took positions on rooftops along Hattin Street and searched additional homes.
In southern Lebanon, Lebanese media reported that Israeli forces carried out demolitions in Zawtar al-Sharqiya, where troops also made incursions, and a major explosion was reported on the outskirts of Qantara.
Artillery fire targeted the outskirts of Mayfadoun and the towns of Zibqin and al-Mansouri, while an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on a house in Touline with no casualties reporte. The attacks continued despite a disgraceful June framework agreement intended to halt Israeli atrocities.
