Jolani Regime Sends Takfiri Terrorists to Saudi Arabia for Training Mission

DAMASCUS (Dispatches) -- Dozens of Syrian military personnel affiliated with the takfiri regime Abu Muhammad al-Jolani have been deployed to Saudi Arabia in recent weeks to train Saudi forces and Saudi-backed Yemeni factions, according to two Syrian military sources and a senior U.S. official.
The sources said the Syrian personnel arrived in the kingdom to provide military instruction and advisory support, with one U.S. official stating the mission could extend beyond training.
A prior U.S. official familiar with the matter said the deployment was discussed during a meeting last month in Riyadh between Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman and Jolani.
The U.S. official cautioned that sending Syrian troops to assist Riyadh in the war on Yemen could pull Syria into a wider escalation with severe consequences for Damascus.
A senior Syrian diplomat in the Jolani regime described any suggestion of a combat deployment as premature, while a Saudi official said joint training is ongoing with more planned in security and defense.
The reported deployment coincides with a Saudi-Syrian military agreement signed Wednesday during Jolani’s visit to Riyadh, his second meeting with the crown prince in less than a month.
In Syria, violence linked to the new takfiri authorities continued Saturday. Unknown assailants targeted a road security building in Maarat al-Numan in Idlib province with an RPG, causing no casualties, following a deadly attack days earlier that killed four security personnel.
In Rankous, residents continued mourning five men killed in an October 22 security raid that Jolani’s interior ministry said targeted Daesh-linked individuals, amid growing grievances among communities marginalized under the post-Assad order.
