TEHRAN — Iranian female athlete Hanieh Rostamian has secured the country’s first quota for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games in the women’s 10m air pistol competition at the World Championships in Doha.
Rostamian finished fourth at the World Shooting Championships. Given that two Chinese rivals were among the top three titles, the Olympic quota was awarded to the fourth-place winner.
She had previously secured a quota for the 2024 Paris Olympics at the 2022 World Shooting Championships in Cairo.
