‘Silent Angels’ Symphony Pays Tribute to Women, Kids Martyred in U.S.-Israeli Terror
TEHRAN -- The symphony
“Silent Angels,” dedicated to women and children martyred in Iran’s resistance against the U.S.-Israeli campaign of terror, was performed at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall, composed and conducted by Homayoun Rahimian and accompanied by the Iran National Orchestra.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Roudaki Foundation, the commemorative gathering was held on Tuesday, with the participation of government officials, cultural and artistic figures, families of martyrs and foreign guests from the Resistance community.
Among those attending were government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani; Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Zahra Behrouz-Azar and Minister of Justice Amin-Hussein Rahimi.
During the gathering, “Silent Angels” was performed for the first time by the Iran National Orchestra under the baton of its composer, Homayoun Rahimian. The symphonic suite, produced by the Roudaki Foundation, consists of four movements titled “Sunrise,” “Lullaby,” “Sky,” and “Tears and Smiles.”
The opening movement, “Sunrise,” offers a musical account of beginnings, life and the light that can still be seen even in the deepest darkness. It reflects the enduring presence of hope and the brightness that survives hardship.
The second movement, “Lullaby,” evokes tenderness and the quiet comfort of a mother’s embrace. It is a musical expression of boundless affection that remains in human memory even in the absence of those who once cherished these dreams.
The third movement, “Sky,” represents the flight of unfinished dreams. It recalls the aspirations of children who could have had a bright future ahead of them, portraying a world of hopes without boundaries.
The final movement, “Tears and Smiles,” brings together grief and hope. Amid suffering and loss, it reflects on the possibility of hope, the smiles preserved in memory and the continuation of life through the remembrance of loved ones who have passed away.
Through its four movements, “Silent Angels” seeks to preserve the memory of women and children who lost their lives, transforming their stories of love, loss and unfinished dreams into a musical tribute.
