TEHRAN -- Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Major General Mohsen Rezaei held a telephone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday to discuss regional and international developments with a special focus on West Asia. The call came within the framework of high-level consultations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation and followed recent meetings between senior officials of the two countries. The two sides discussed the current situation in the region and the world, with particular emphasis on West Asia.
