Natural gas is among the clean sources of pollution-free energy, and Iran is indeed fortunate to have the world’s second largest reserves, whose tapping for domestic use and exports to neighbouring countries has revolutionized the concept of progress and development.
The Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) without the least doubt is yet another proof of the foresight of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and its 8th summit held in Moscow on Tuesday, paid glowing tributes to the vision of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei (RA).
Although not all of the GECF’s member states hold the same views, and either wittingly or unwittingly serve interests of their own enemies, such as the US, the leading members were unanimous that this is an important sanction-busting organization of the Free World.
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian outlined the country’s policies regarding use and export of this vital source of energy, pointing out the role of Iran, in the face of the ever-growing American sanctions, to keep gas flowing for the benefit of the nation and countries that import it.
Whether it is economic terrorism or the current military terrorism of that the sworn enemy of humanity, Donald Trump, Iran’s iron-resolve cannot be broken for collective action against the unjust and unilateral sanctions.
Russia’s President Vladimir Put in his speech at the GECF summit backed the stance of his Iranian counterpart, and paid glowing tributes to the memory of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution (RA) for establishing this body.
Observers point out that US hooliganism will not remain forever. Sooner or later, things have to change and the day is not far when the likes of Trump and cabinet of criminals will be universally denounced as the worst ever terrorists the world has ever seen.
There are plenty of areas of cooperation amongst the gas exporting countries, which can help each overcome the effect of the American sanctions by closely coordinating views amongst themselves to keep supplies constant.
Presently, global gas consumption stands at 4.2 trillion cubic meters and is expected to rise to 5.5 trillion cubic meters by 2050.
This indicates the ability of the gas producing countries, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran, to ensure the smooth functioning of supplies.
Natural gas is a vital source of clean energy and it is of the right of the Free Word to ensure its proper production and supplies.
