Handala Says Infiltrators Remain Inside Israeli Military, Releases Base Footage
TEL AVIV (Dispatches) -- The Handala hacking group said on Wednesday its infiltrators remain embedded within Israel’s military establishment and released images and videos it said were obtained from inside Israeli military bases during recent wars.
In a statement, the group said Israel’s army “must now confront a bitter truth: our infiltrators have not only completed their mission but remain at the very heart of your military, moving among your ranks, inside meeting rooms and headquarters, and even alongside senior commanders.”
It said the material was published on the Handala website and mocked Israel’s security measures, declaring: “Your cameras, sensors, and security systems have all been exposed to ridicule today.”
The group also questioned Israeli claims about its military capabilities, asking how the occupying regime could claim to have an “invincible army” and hold free elections “when infiltration on this scale has become commonplace.”
Addressing terrorist prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the group said he “deserves congratulations,” adding: “Under your leadership, another October 7 is coming, not just once, but time and time again.”
It warned that “the Israeli army will never sleep peacefully again.”
The latest operation follows Handala’s September disclosure of selfie images belonging to around 700 Israeli security personnel. The group said those images were obtained after it gained access to the phones of hundreds of people linked to Israel’s security structures, exposing personal material captured by their devices.
The incident is the latest in a series of operations by Handala targeting Israel’s political and security establishment, exposing vulnerabilities in the illegal entity’s cybersecurity infrastructure and challenging the image of intelligence superiority that Israeli officials have long promoted.
The Handala group has previously claimed responsibility for cyber operations against Israeli targets. Its release of purported military base footage marks an escalation in its campaign, which it frames as a response to Israel’s wars in Gaza and the region.
