Iran Won the Battlefield and  World Admits It, IRGC Deputy Says

TEHRAN -- Iran has won the battlefield and the world acknowledges it, and hostile propaganda cannot alter that outcome, the deputy commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps said on Sunday, crediting popular resistance and the will of the leadership for victories in what he called the 12-day and 40-day wars.
Major General Mostafa Izadi said the enemy brought all its capabilities to the field but was met with a firm response from fighters, the armed forces and the people.
“The Islamic Republic has emerged victorious in this arena, and this is acknowledged by the world,” he said. “These atmospherics and propaganda cannot affect the outcome of this field.”
Izadi warned that enemies seek to drive the public out of the scene, urging vigilance: “We must be aware that the presence of the people is essential to preserving achievements.”
He recounted a conversation in which he was told Europeans ask how Iranians have stood so firmly against America, and cited a Japanese author who wrote a book on why the United States was defeated by Iran.
“They say the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has put pressure on us, but we endure this pressure. You too should stand firm,” he said, adding that an Italian commander had told an Iranian scientist he was “fighting the devil” and that he prays for Iran in church.
Izadi described the 40-day “battle of Ramadan” as “a very important phase and a destiny-making battle that can lead to great victories.”
He said two factors underpinned victory: “the risen nation of Iran,” whose people have shown readiness to sacrifice their blood to defend the country and the revolution, and “the firm will of the leadership of the revolution, the commander-in-chief and our fighters,” who have prepared with greater readiness and capability.
“These tricks and remarks cannot affect our path of victory or change the result we have achieved,” Izadi said. “We will continue our path of victory.”
