     It is rather unfortunate of a Muslim country to ignore the advices of friendly fellow Muslim neighbours and cultivate ties with an avowed enemy of Islam.
     To the shock of its own citizens and their resentment of the genocide in Gaza, the regime in Baku is hosting war criminal Isaac Herzog, and even allowing him to address an international conference.
     This is indeed an affront to the proud Muslim Azeri people, who are firm supporters of the long persecuted Palestinian people, and regard Israel as an illegitimate entity.
     Moreover, in total disregard of good neighbourliness Baku has allowed the Zionist entity to spy on Iran via the bases in the Azerbaijan Republic.
     Naturally, this has displeased the Azeri people, already angry at the so-called secular but in reality anti-Islamic measures of the regime of President Ilham Aliev in banning the Hijab in schools.
      These are all dictates from Israel, which wants to turn the republic of Azerbaijan into a base for carrying out its sinister designs against the Muslims of the Caucasus as well as against the Iranian people.
      Tehran, which supports the birthrights and Islamic heritage and aspirations of the people of the Caucasus, is closely watching the rather unfortunate developments in the republic of Azerbaijan.
      Israel is the enemy of the people of Azerbaijan, an undeniable fact that the regime in Baku has either not realized or is under pressure from Washington to cultivate ties, especially in defence and armaments, with the illegitimate Zionist entity.
     Iran is in the midst of the second war imposed upon it by the US-Israel devilish duo, whose bases in several countries of the region, Iran’s defenders have destroyed in retaliation.
       This warrants Baku to exercise prudence and stop kowtowing to the war criminals in Occupied Palestine, and respect its own Muslim people including the right of the girl students to wear the Hijab.
       To quote last March’s statement by the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command of the Islamic Republic: “We declare to Azerbaijan, as a Muslim country, that in order to prevent the spread of insecurity in the region, expel the Zionists from that country and do not endanger the security of your own people and Islamic Iran.”
