TEHRAN - Sardar Azmoun forward player scored for Shabab Al-Ahli to secur a valuable 2-1 victory away against Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad in the second round of the AFC Champions League Elite’s West Region league stage. With this result, the ‘Dubai Knights’ continue their strong start to the tournament, claiming their second consecutive win.
Shabab Al Ahli asserted themselves early in the match, capitalizing on rapid attacking transitions and clinical finishing.
Conversely, Al-Ittihad’s second-half goal was not enough to alter the match’s outcome. The result earned the ‘Dubai Knights’ three valuable points in their continental campaign.
Shabab Al-Ahli did not wait long to open the scoring, finding the back of Al-Ittihad’s net in the seventh minute.
Subsequently, Bala led a rapid counter-attack, driving towards the penalty area before delivering a cross that Iranian striker Sardar Azmoun met with a successful shot into the net.
