Iran Unveils Poster for Nagoya Asian Para Games

TEHRAN - Iran unveils its poster for the Nagoya Asian Para Games, featuring the cypress tree as a symbol of resistance.
The 166-athlete team honors nine-year-old Minab school bombing survivor Ana Jahangard, with the slogan: “In memory of Hiroshima, Gaza and Minab’s children.”
According to Tasnim News Agency, citing the National Paralympic Committee, the poster for the Iranian delegation was revealed as the national athletes prepare for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Para Games and the event’s start approaches.
The Iranian Paralympic delegation is participating in this edition of the Asian Para Games under the title “Devoted to a Strong Iran,” with the chosen slogan: “In Memory of the Children of Hiroshima, Gaza, and Minab.”
Given the specific circumstances facing the country—including the imposed war against the great Iranian nation—the Iranian Asian Para Games delegation strives to convey a message of Iran’s resolve, courage, and resilience, as well as that of its noble people, at every stage.
Consequently, the cypress tree—a symbol of resilience—was incorporated into the design of the delegation’s official attire to broadcast Iran’s message of steadfastness to the world.
The Iranian delegation, titled “Devoted to a Strong Iran,” will participate in the event with 166 athletes—comprising 62 women and 104 men—across 15 sports disciplines.
The delegation has selected “Ana Jahangard”—a nine-year-old student from Minab who was disabled during the bombing of the Shajareh Tayyebah School—as its “spiritual leader.” Additionally, the slogan “In Memory of the Children of Hiroshima, Gaza, and Minab” was chosen to convey to the world the plight of these children—the innocent victims of war.
The 5th Asian Para Games will be held from October 18 to October 24, 2026 in Japan.
