‘The True Promise in the Mirror of Art’ Opens at Palestine Square
TEHRAN -- The second
edition of The True Promise in the Mirror of Art brings a painting exhibition and live art workshop to Palestine Square, with themes centered on national identity, military operations, political leadership and sacrifice.
A painting exhibition and public art workshop organized by Iran’s Artists Basij Organization is taking place at Palestine Square in Tehran from October 10 to 16, inviting visual artists and members of the public to create works addressing the country’s military operations and official narratives of national resistance.
Activities are scheduled daily from 8pm to 10pm, according to an announcement carried by Iran’s Mehr News Agency.
The event is hosted by the Greater Tehran Artists Basij, in collaboration with the Basij unit of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company and the artistic affairs department of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs.
According to the organizers, the workshop will bring artists and members of the public together to produce works addressing several themes, including the representation of Iran’s True Promise military operations through art; the leadership, lifestyle and governing philosophy of martyred Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and the country’s military strength, sacrifice and martyrdom.
