Iran’s Military Leadership: Fight for Quds Will Continue
The IRGC and the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters says the regional balance of power has shifted in favor of the “Axis of Resistance,” warning that any new attack on Iran would trigger a forceful response.
TEHRAN – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and Iran’s top military command vowed on Wednesday that the "battle for the liberation of Quds" will continue, declaring that three years after Operation Al-Aqsa Flood the strategic balance of the region has shifted irreversibly in favor of the Axis of Resistance and Israel and the U.S. have sunk into a "vortex of structural crises and successive defeats."
In a statement marking the third anniversary of the October 7, 2023 operation, the IRGC said Al-Aqsa Flood was "the beginning of the end of Zionism" and the collapse of the myth of the Zionist army's invincibility.
It described the operation as "a future-making event that accelerated the definite decline of the racist, occupying regime of Quds."
"Three years have passed since 7 October 2023, the day when the fighters of the Palestinian resistance and the heroic Hamas, relying on God and the iron will of the oppressed Palestinian nation, carried out one of the greatest operations in the history of resistance and shattered the security structure of the usurping Zionist regime," the IRGC said.
The IRGC said the strategic equations of the region have been transformed in favor of the Resistance Axis, and that Israel, together with its main backer the United States, has been plunged into "a vortex of structural crises and successive defeats."
It said the Resistance Front has become "an undeniable strategic reality" stretching "from Gaza to Lebanon, from Yemen to Iraq and Syria, and from Islamic Iran to the heart of the occupied territories."
The statement pointed to recent regional and international developments, saying the Resistance Front has struck "deadly blows" against Israel and the United States with "precise and crushing operations."
It said Washington, despite its full support for Israeli crimes and repeated threats against the Islamic Republic, "not only failed to achieve any of its declared objectives but lost its hollow grandeur before global public opinion."
"The second and third imposed wars against Iran were met with a decisive and regretful response from the armed forces, proving that the era of cost-free threats is over," the IRGC said, warning that "any miscalculation or action for a new war and aggression against Islamic Iran will bring a painful and destructive response for the aggressor."
The IRGC described the economic, political, and international collapse of Israel and the "crushing challenges" in the United States—particularly after Iran's "decisive management" of the Strait of Hormuz—as "painful" for the criminal gang ruling the White House and Tel Aviv.
It said the Resistance Axis, despite heavy pressure and the martyrdom of its senior commanders, "remains firm and steadfast," and that, according to regional analysts, "America and the Zionist regime have been defeated on all fronts and have failed to achieve their key objective of weakening, defeating, and fragmenting Iran as a regional power."
The IRGC honored the memory of "the lofty martyrs Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, Muhammad Deif, and other fighters of that land".
"The path of resistance will continue until the liberation of noble Quds and the complete destruction of the usurping Zionist regime, and by God's grace the truthful Qur'anic promise will be fulfilled—and, per the glad tidings of the martyred leader of the ummah, dear Khamenei, Palestine will be freed from the river to the sea," it said.
"The Axis of Resistance is today more united, more powerful, and more prepared than ever before, and the enemies of Islam and humanity should know that no trench will be able to save them against the sacred will of the free nations of the region."
Separately, Major General Abdollah Abdollahi, head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, issued a message saying Al-Aqsa Flood "was beyond the imagination of the fake Zionist regime" and "threw the calculations of the enemies of the Resistance Front into disarray and sent tremors through the Zionist body."
Abdollahi said the October 7 operation "transformed the defensive strategy of the Resistance Front into an offensive strategy for the legitimate defense of the Palestinian people and the land belonging to them, and accelerated the decline of the usurping, child-killing, and oppressive Zionist regime."
"The enemies of the Islamic ummah, especially the criminal and stateless Zionists, must know that the epic-making of the martyrs of the Resistance Front, especially the lofty martyrs Haj Qasem Soleimani, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Ismail Haniyeh, and Yahya Sinwar, will continue and will bring about the end of the occupying regime of Quds."
Abdollahi said the directives of the martyred leader of the ummah, Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, "in defense of the sacred cause of Palestine and the Resistance Front will continue until the liberation of noble Quds."
