Pezeshkian Accepts Petroleum Minister Paknejad’s Resignation
TEHRAN -- President Masoud Pezeshkian appointed Hamid Bord as acting petroleum minister on Sunday after accepting the resignation of Mohsen Paknejad, the president’s office announced.
Under the Iranian constitution, a ministry may be run by an acting head for up to three months, during which the president may introduce his proposed candidate for the ministerial post to parliament.
