Iran’s String of Success in Sports and Science
Amidst the tension and flames of an unwanted and unprovoked war, Iranian defenders have proven their mettle on the battle fronts, while Iranian athletes as well as elite students have demonstrated their talents in the sports arena and at the Olympiads.
This is ample proof of the versatility of a civilized nation endowed with an indomitable spirit of achieving success, whatever the odds.
At the 20th Asian Games held at Aichi-Nagoya in Japan, Iranian athletes, both men and women gave a grand display of their talents in a sporting spirit, winning a total of 52 colourful medals.
The tally was 19 golds, 18 silvers and 15 bronze. In weightlifting and wrestling there was no match for the Iranian snatchers and grapplers.
Iranian women did not lag behind. They brought honours to the nation winning golds, silvers and bronzes in different fields.
Clad in hijab, our girls gave a fine performance of Islamic freedom, excelling in such events as ball games, martial arts, and equestrian.
Even those of our boys and girls who were unlucky to stand on the podium, won accolades from spectators, organizers, and fellow athletes of various Asian countries.
Such a nation cannot be browbeaten by criminals, terrorists, child-killers and warmongers, whether it is the filthy, faul-mouthed felon called Donald Trump or the genocidal Benjamin Netanyahu.
In the field of science and technology, Iranian youngsters for the third consecutive year topped the astronomy olympiad, winning 5 glittering golds.
This success comes at a time when Iranian scientists are exploring outer space, and after having sent satellites beyond the atmosphere for the last two decades, are now poised to send triple and multiple launchers to orbit Planet Earth.
So, beware you cowardly enemies, if your warships and airplanes make one wrong move, our precise and powerful projectiles will definitely reduce your military machinary to rubble, although we are a nation of dialogue and peace.
