Iran’s Para-Asian Games Delegation Readies for Aichi-Nagoya Games

TEHRAN – Iran’s sports delegation for the 20th Nagoya Para-Asian Games in Japan.
The farewell ceremony for Iran’s delegation will be held at Tehran’s Enghelab Square.
in the presence of Iran’s Minister of Sports and Youth and the President of the National Olympic Committee, along with senior sports officials, heads of sports federations, athletes, coaches and national team management staff.
 According to Tasnim News Agency, citing the National Paralympic Committee website, the send-off ceremony for Iran’s delegation to the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Para-Asian Games is scheduled for the evening of Monday, at Tehran’s Enghelab Square.
Iran’s delegation, bearing the title “Devoted to a Strong Iran,” will participate in the event with 166 athletes—comprising 62 women and 104 men—across 15 sports disciplines.
The delegation has selected “Ana Jahangard”—a nine-year-old student from Minab who was disabled during the bombing of the Shajareh-ye Tayyebeh School—as its “spiritual leader.” Additionally, it has adopted the slogan “In Memory of the Children of Hiroshima, Gaza, and Minab” to convey to the world the message regarding the plight of children—the innocent victims of war.
The fifth edition of the Para-Asian Games will take place from October 18 to October 24, 2026.
