Israeli Forces, Settlers Kill Palestinian Teen in West Bank, Gaza Strike Kills Five

RAMALLAH (Dispatches) --
Israeli forces and settlers continued their deadly campaign of violence across the occupied West Bank on Saturday, while an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City killed five Palestinian civilians, including four women.
In the West Bank, 19-year-old Baha Sami al-Natsheh was shot dead in the village of Kobar, north of Ramallah, marking the second such killing in 48 hours.
According to local authorities and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, Israeli occupation forces deliberately prevented medical teams from reaching the wounded youth, leaving him to bleed to death on the ground.
Kobar’s Mayor Mounir Badwan reported that the deadly incident occurred when young Palestinians attempted to open a gate recently erected by settlers to besiege the village.
“When the young Palestinians tried to open it, the settlers attacked them,” Badwan said. “The army arrived and they started shooting live bullets”.
The Palestinian Health Ministry stated that the youth was shot directly by settler gunfire.
On Thursday, 51-year-old Mashhour Yassin was shot dead by settlers in the town of Yasuf, north of Ramallah. Israeli forces also obstructed an ambulance from reaching the wounded by seizing its key.
According to the Palestine Liberation Organization’s Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Zionist settlers have killed 30 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since the start of 2026, already more than double the total for all of last year and the highest recorded since 2022.
The violence is heavily concentrated in the Ramallah and el-Bireh governorate, where 15 Palestinians have been murdered. The commission also documented a staggering 2,051 settler attacks on Palestinians, their lands, and their properties in the month of September alone.
On Saturday morning, settlers protected by Israeli occupation forces continued their attacks on Palestinian farmers across the West Bank.
In Nablus, settlers attacked farmers harvesting olives in the Qamas area of Beita town, and Israeli forces detained several farmers and solidarity activists who had arrived to assist with the harvest.
Settlers also stormed agricultural land in the town of Beit Imrin, west of Nablus. Northeast of Ramallah, settlers grazed their sheep on olive-planted land in the village of Al-Mughayyir, causing damage to trees and crops.
In a separate attack on Friday, Zionist settlers under the direct protection of Israeli forces stormed the outskirts of Yabrud, east of Ramallah, injuring two Palestinians before local residents managed to confront the assailants.
In the Gaza Strip, an Israeli airstrike on a residential apartment in Gaza City early Saturday resulted in the deaths of five Palestinians, including four women, and left others injured.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry described the attack as part of the ongoing genocide and war crimes being perpetrated against the Palestinian people, noting that among the victims were a mother and her daughter, both Christians, along with an academic woman.
