PM Barzani: U.S. Pullout From Iraqi Kurdistan ‘Shameful’
ERBIL (Dispatches) -- Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani told the Financial Times on Sunday that the U.S. withdrawal comes “at an extremely sensitive time,” noting the region has suffered “more than a thousand missile and drone attacks.”
He said leaving Kurdistan exposed without adequate defense systems is “shameful.” Barzani’s remarks underscore growing Kurdish fears of abandonment as Washington pulls back and regional threats mount.
