TEHRAN — Russian publisher Gorlitsa has released a Russian translation of Be Happy With the Qur’an, a book by Iranian author Seyyed Mehdi Hashemi that explores how Qur;anic teachings can be applied to everyday life.
The book has been translated into Russian by Taras Cherniyenko and is now available on the Russian book market.
Written around practical situations rather than abstract discussion, Hashemi’s book examines how Qur;anic teachings can inform ordinary decisions and interactions, from relations with neighbors and choices of entertainment to managing personal expenses.
The book is divided into 16 chapters, each opening with a verse from the Qur’an that serves as the starting point for the discussion that follows. Across the volume, 114 conversations are built around these verses, with each addressing a separate subject.
The publisher presents the book as an accessible introduction to Qur’anic guidance, with its language designed to make its themes understandable to readers of different ages and backgrounds. 
Alongside its discussion of religious teachings, the book offers practical suggestions and approaches aimed at helping readers pursue happiness, personal well-being and a more harmonious relationship with themselves and the world around them.
The Russian edition gives Russian-speaking Muslim readers an opportunity to encounter the book in their own language and explore its interpretation of Qur’anic teachings through everyday concerns and experiences.
The publication is part of a broader record of Iranian books being translated into Russian. In July 2026, Gorlitsa published a Russian translation of Shiite Political Discourse by Iranian scholar Ahmad Vaezi, a study examining the Twelver Shia approach to politics during the periods of the presence of the Imams and the Occultation.
Gorlitsa is a Moscow-based publishing house with a longstanding catalogue that includes books for family and children’s reading. Russian library records list books published by Gorlitsa in Moscow, confirming the publisher’s established presence in the Russian book market.
