Tehran Stock Exchange Conquers 7.4mn-Unit Mark
TEHRAN - The capital market continued its upward trajectory on the second day of the week, with the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) overall index surging by over 153,000 points to enter the 7.4 million-unit channel. This trend indicates that market demand remains robust and the main indices of the TSE and Iran Fara Bourse (IFB) are on track to set new records.
The TSE’s overall index climbed by 153,868 points during Sunday’s trading session, reaching the 7.4 million-unit milestone. Following the bullish trend of recent days, this magnitude of growth reflects the continued dominance of demand over supply across the broader market.
Alongside the overall index, the equal-weight index also grew by approximately 30,000 points to enter the two million-unit channel. The simultaneous rise of both indices can be seen as a sign of a broader upward market flow. This means that price increases were not limited to a few large, market-driving tickers; rather, a segment of small and medium-sized symbols also participated in the rally.
Furthermore, trading volume remained at a significant level, with traders registering over 1.165 million transactions. The value of trades also saw a substantial increase compared to the previous day, surpassing 610 trillion rials (61 trillion tomans), which indicates an increase in market liquidity turnover and the sustained active presence of traders.
During Sunday’s trading, symbols such as FEMELI, FARS, SHABANDAR, FOOLAD, SHEPNA, SHASTA, and TABAN were among the most influential on the TSE index. The presence of large metallurgical, refining, and holding symbols among the market drivers highlights the role of major industries in the overall index’s continued upward movement.
The trading trend at the Iran Fara Bourse (IFB) was also bullish, with its main index growing by 972 points to reach 57,254. Additionally, 625,545 transactions were executed at the IFB. In this market, symbols including KGOHAR, MARUN, ARIA, VAMPNA, SHARANL, HORMZ, and ARIAN had the greatest impact on the IFB index.
Collectively, these developments indicate that the capital market remained in a bullish phase during Sunday’s trades. The overall index’s entry into the 7.4 million-unit channel, coupled with the growth of the equal-weight index and the rise in trade value, signifies sustained demand strength. However, the continuation of this trend in the coming days will depend on the rate of liquidity inflow, trader behavior at new price levels, and the market’s ability to maintain high trading values.
