17 Iranian Taekwondo Poomsae Athletes to Compete at World Championship
TEHRAN - The national
Poomsae team, comprising 17 athletes, will depart on Sunday for South Korea to compete in the World Championships.
The edition of the championships will take place in the city of Chuncheon, South Korea, from September 16 to 20, featuring 1,411 taekwondo athletes from 83 countries. Iran’s national team will participate with a squad of 17 athletes.
The 17 Poomsae athletes representing Iran are Seyed Muhammad Husseini, Yasin Zandi, Amir-Ali Alizadeh, Alireza Ebrahimi, Zeinab Shahriari, Yasna Jalili, Ainaz Asgari, Behdad Nagh’ei, Hananeh Ahmadi, Mehdi Jamali, Mahdieh Oghbaei, Mahsa Barzegari, Dina Yaghoubi, Razieh Aghaei, Sana Shayegan, Yasin Akbari, and Yasin Ahmadi.
Nimeh Mehrabani, Mehdi Samadian, Sona Razaghi, and Nastaran Maleki make up the coaching staff, while Mohammad Reza Taheri-Nasab will accompany the team as the head of the delegation.
Shamsi Alikhani and Mounes Zamani are the two international referees from Iran who will officiate at the event.
